Impaled Ring

£1,900.00
sold out

This piece was inspired by temporary palaces. Ancient Indian buildings used to be transformed with textiles- these tent structures altered the function of the space, creating areas of celebration, worship, and provided shelter and shade for events.
Tipu the Sultan of Mysore famously carried a highly decorative tent to war, providing a luxury space for royalty during a battle. Thinking about small luxuries one can carry with them throughout their journey, I wanted to create a piece that oozed opulence. This one of a kind ring features a woman splayed over an ethically sourced opal, mined and cut in Ethopia, whilst clinging onto a recycled ruby.
