You Have My Heart
You have my Heart consists of two separate pieces. The first, a small gold locket, set with a pink sapphire heart. The second, a larger heart brooch, with a molten indent for the gold heart to sit in, as though the pieces belong together. Both pieces hold locket space for a love note. The brooch has a secret gold compartment at the back, worn next to the chest, and the gold heart opens up to reveal a small loop which can hold a piece of paper in place. The two hearts allow for a heart to be worn by two people, echoing “wear your heart on your sleeve”, as well as the friendship “half-hearts” that become whole once put together. They exist as separate entities, but placed together the forms complete one another.
