A one of a kind mirror adorned with a bathing Venus. Inspired by cameos- this Venus has two dimensions. From the front she appears to be bathing in the clouds, with fabric floating around her legs.
On closer inspection she is holding onto the clouds. She does not act as a frame for the mirror, but instead overtakes the function of the piece. With gold plating on the background, she has a golden aura, mimicking the traditional white and orange portraiture carvings in agate.
One can only see the golden halo when up close, inspecting not only Venus but themselves, entangling the viewer in the myth.
